As you say, "America was built on the concept of you get out what you put in." I do applaud the morality that seems apparent in this statement. However, now that America has matured, the money a person made--or that their parents or grandparents made--is now used to make more money, much of which is hoarded rather than being put back into the economy where it could be used to reward effort and and provide the edcuational tools necessary for everyone to thrive. It is no longer true that you get out what you put in: Now, the rich get out without putting in (many of them, anyway), while many others get less and less as the years go by while putting in more and more. In such a situation, many believe it is not possible to succeed. Maybe that's why they don't try.
