Because 1) This "personal religious conviction" is based on a mistranslation of the Bible, so while it may be personal and a conviction, it is also a mistake. And 2) , it IS a conspiracy theory, perpetrated by rich oligarchs upon everybody else, hetero- and homo-sexual alike, so that we won't notice ever increasing wealth inequality until it's too late for us to do anything about it.
