Thanks as always for keeping me up-to-date. Depending on how the "command" is written, I might, as a police officer, just say I didn't suspect that so-and-so was in the U.S. illegally. I might do some research to find out the percentage of people I would meet who have come into the country illegally when compared with citizens or immigrants whose status is legal. I could quote the percentage if pressured.
