Everybody who isn't insane is anti-abortion. Everybody knows that babies begin as a mass of cells and then gradually grow into humans. The question a woman asks, when considering what to do about an unwanted pregnancy, is not whether abortion is a good thing. It is whether abortion is better or worse than having a child one cannot care for properly. It is a fact that many, if not most, people who call themselves pro-life are not. They are pro-pregnancy and delivery, but once the child is born, they are against any sort of support for the mother or child. For the unborn, they are pro-life; for the living, they are pro-poverty, disease, and every sort of difficulty.
