For me, HRT was not an option; it was a requirement. Without HRT, my hot flashes were so severe that I would momentarily almost lose eyesight and sometimes consciousness. Imagine that on the freeway! It was good for me to read that some experts think that I can take HRT indefinitely. Because I will be doing just that.
