I agree. I'm fairly new to Medium and was excited, within 24 hours of publishing a story titled "To Make my World a Better Place," to get almost 300 claps. Then, I looked in Stats and discovered less than a 10th of that number of people had actually read the story. It made me angry. So, I also hope those at Medium who get paid for making such decisions decide to accept claps only from people who have actually read what they're clapping for.

By the way, what is an "intersectional feminist"? (I'm in my late 70s and have not kept up with where feminism has gone recently.
