I agree. It was an attempt by legitimate media to adhere to a "Fairness Doctrine" that was no longer required by law. Media that we on the one side can (rightly) call illegitimate made no attempt to be fair and were therefore free to lie in the service of the very rich among us who benefit by keeping us at each others' throats.
