I agree with you that people voted for Trump because they can relate to him, oddly enough. Or they can relate to what he appears to be to them, anyway. It's easier to have a beer at the bar with somebody you like than sit down with somebody you may or may not like and have a serious discussion about the needs of the people, the country, and the planet.
