I do agree with you that it might have been better to pass individual portions of the Build Back Better Plan one after the other--because that would have encouraged discussion of those individual portions. They could have done a Benefit the Children part first, then Less Expensive and Better Health Care, and so forth. Then, the questions to the recalcitrant Republicans and the two selfish Democrats would have been, "Don't your constituents want to be able to afford child care?" "Don't the people who vote for you want to be able to afford their health care rather than losing their homes when a family member requires hospitalization?" And so forth.
