I do agree with you that more immigration would be good for the country. I don't know enough about tariffs to know whether removing them would deliver $1,000 each year to each household, or what other good or bad results might occur. But Kerry, prices ARE high because of corporate greed, and to a lesser extent supply-chain interruptions. And many folks ARE poor because others who are wealthy are benefiting from the taxes paid by everyone in the country (which pay for infrastructure, for one example) while they don't pay their fair share. Additionally, Democrats have presented remedies, most of which have not been enacted because of the necessity for bi-partisan solutions--which means the remedies are so watered down and delayed that the American people don't see much in them.
