I entirely agree with your opinions about this. That said, I do think that people with enough money to pay off their debts and live like the middle class used to would demand paid family and sick leave, medicare for all, work-from-home ability or affordable housing near work. They would be able to afford to buy homes, so corporations would have some competition when they buy homes during economic down times, turn them into rentals, never repair them, and then sell them during economic up times. And so forth. That said, I go back to infrastructure and service that benefit entire communities. The intent of this article was to point out what fair MIGHT look like and get a conversation started.
