I had to reread my own article to figure out what you were referring to: the kids in the back of the classroom throwing spitballs. You are obviously right that not all of them are still there with their nasty rolled-up bits of paper. But I have to admit, having to sit in front of them all during my school years, I do think of them that way still. Maybe I'll now think of them as possible theoretical physics professors. Maybe.
