I hadn't noticed this, but now that you mention in--yeah, "soft on crime" seems to be heard most during election times. And you're right about gun violence being difficult to address. It will be almost impossible to address as long as dark money is allowed to be shunted to politicians by the likes of the NRA. Such a world we live in! (says the old lady)
