I keep thinking it might help to point out to someone who is, for example, a Trump supporter that it is "your money" that is being stolen from you, and not by someone with less of it than you have but by a few people at the top--like Trump. So far, however, I've not formulated that argument sufficiently to make it--my hesitation in doing so may be what you're writing about in the section "Education makes us humble."
