I read certain writers almost every day who read my writing sporadically or not at all. I read their work because it's informative and I want/need to be informed--but I do agree with you that it would be nice if they also read my work.

I have attempted to do something about the problem, at least so far as featured books are concerned. See Free Amazon Reviews for Your Featured Book. But it is (very) slow going.
