I remember as a child in Sunday school being informed by a teacher--female!--that all sin and evil came about because of Eve. I went home and told my mother, and she and I then agreed I didn't need to go to Sunday school anymore. As to the possibility of contraceptives being banned, that surprised me when the news reports came out. You must be right that there are people out there who think that sex itself should be banned except when a man and a woman are trying to have a baby.
