I shared this on Facebook with my FB friends, and two of them took up the challenge to contact these companies to urge an immediate withdrawal from Russia. One of them communicated with International Paper using the web form to which I provided a link. The other contacted every company in this list! If people would begin doing this instead of just clapping, or even instead of highlighting or entering comments, then Medium members might make an actual difference in the world.

For this article, I don't care so much whether you clap, highlight or comment--though these actions are appreciated. What I'm hoping for, however, is that you read and follow up with these companies still doing business in Russia.

To my knowledge, not one Medium reader has done this.
