If I am powerful enough to bring in one Democratic vote in November, then I will have achieved more than if I do nothing. The reality you write of is in the past and present, but it is not necessarily in the future.

I do some name calling, to express my (not feigned but genuine) outrage and as entertainment, but I think you will have noted that my articles are based on evidence and hours of research per article.

I'm glad you will be able to find happiness in a gridlocked government unable to do anything to counteract the ever-widening wealth disparity and its truly terrible results. I'm reasonably happy, too, in these unfortuante circumstances. But I'll be much happier if and when everyone has basic necessities, the climate is not worsening, and there is no more MAGA-type hate.
