Nor was I “whining, pontificating or equivocating” — but if you can point out specifically where in this article you think I was doing any of these things, I’ll thank you and be most happy to do some editing.
By the way, my own family is biracial. I am white. One of my husbands, Black, deceased long ago, gave me two Black children. And my remaining child, white, married an Asian woman, so my grandchildren from that marriage have that heritage.
That said, I do agree with you that much of this hoopla is “asinine.” There are so many problems we have to deal with: racial, cultural, and wealth inequality, global climate change, war, poverty, water rights, etc. To spend too much time on spelling is, well, asinine.
