It’s a long road to toe, for sure. So many, many writers in comparison to the readers. Everybody is told to write write write, and if people follow this advice they don’t have time to read read read.

I don’t know about long waiting times. All the pubs I normally publish on respond within a day or two except for The Writing Collective, which I think only reviews submissions once a week.
