"Refuse the excuse" is a really interesting concept. I think it's in the category of, "If it works, go for it." And it obviously does work for you and may for others, too.

By the way, for someone whose first language is other than English, you're doing quite well with English. There are a few almost unnoticeable problems, but overall, this is literate.
