Thanks for weighing in, Hussachai. I can understand that today's salaries seem shockingly high if you're old, as I am, or have been working at a low-wage job. But think of the cost of a house in the U.S. Anyway, whatever the H1B salaries are (the page you referred to isn't loading for me), the H1B people are making less than American citizens make; why else would companies hire on H1B when there are qualified employees in country? Meta is facing a lawsuit for this right now. Also see "The top 30 H-1B employers hired 34,000 new H-1B workers in 2022 and laid off at least 85,000 workers in 2022 and early 2023," and Amazon was top on the list of companies abusing H1B.
