Thanks so much for such a thoughtful comment. I've noticed more an absence of God than his presence. I think God's leaving much of our world up to us: free will, you know. What we do about others with free will trying to curtail ours, well, I guess all we can do is vote. (It's odd; I was just talking with someone yesterday about what you point out: that 40-50% of fertilized eggs are miscarried. This person, who is knowledgeable said that many of those cells are dispersed throughout a woman's body rather than being miscarried. Either way, though, they die. )
