This is a beautifully written article and so grounded in what we liberals call "humanity." Unfortunately, it is liberals who have been the ones attempting to do what you urge as all to do-- without much success. I think before we can urge cohesiveness and togetherness, we have to deal with people for whom the only goals are to acquire more power and take all the money.
