New opportunities abound for the right person to take action and make some big money
You've heard of the new Texas law that forces a woman to give birth to a child she cannot care for financially or emotionally? That law is now under discussion by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The discussion is not about the burden placed on a woman to raise a child in poverty or to care lovingly for a child she does not, or perhaps cannot, love. Nor is it about the children raised in poverty — about their hunger, their illnesses and the family chaos they have to endure. The justices are not even discussing the fact that children, unwanted, become angry adults who cause problems for everyone around them. They could discuss the fact that the so-called “heartbeat” of an “unborn child” — which is used to argue that an embryo is a human being and should be protected — actually is up until about 10 weeks nothing more than electrical activity in a collection of cells.
No, the justices are not discussing the Texas abortion law. They are discussing only the enforcement of the law, which is not by law enforcement but is instead of private citizens. Any citizen of the United States, in or out of Texas, can now sue anyone in Texas for a minimum of $10,000 whom they suspect of having an abortion or of helping someone else have…
