Well, this is one way of looking at it. Not being in that situation myself, I have taken this approach: If you feel female sometimes and male sometimes, perhaps you want to refer to yourself as "they." It all makes no sense to me because as I just wrote, it's not something I've experienced. But it does allow me to be kind to some people. All that said, though, I can understand it would be a breaking point for someone tasked with assisting people to be one of these OR the other so they can conform to what their culture expects. Which seems to be what was expected of you--in a culture in which medication has to be sold, and has to be taken so it can be sold. My best to you. Hope you're doing well now.
