What you've said here is accurate -- except perhaps for calling people like this writer "punks." May I suggest you be more sympathetic to the plight of those working 60+ hours a week, who frequently don't have the time or energy to acquire the knowledge about the system that you have? Some will take the time, perhaps those with the most energy and health. But I don't think you should blame those who are just trying to hang on to what they have while the world whizzes on toward destruction. Unions are absolutely the solution, and the only workable solution, to the problem this writer is facing, but he's unlikely to be swayed by this argument made by someone calling him a punk.
