When I've written about the danger of propaganda and resulting anger, some of my commenters have written the equivalent of "There, there, Katharine. It's not going to be that bad." Having read this beautifully crafted piece, I feel more that I'm not alone in what my detractors call pessimism and what I'm sure will become reality.
