Where’s the Editor?
Right here, and for free!
I’m an editor with 20 years of experience. I do copy editing to fix grammar, spelling and punctuation — the kind of stuff your high-school English teacher yammered on about. I also often do line editing to help ensure your story will be read easily and your message will be clear — if you were lucky, your English teacher also took the time to cover this kind of stuff.
Many of the stories I read on Medium have helpful information and interesting perspectives and are a pleasure to read. So I appreciate the good work being done. When I read English that needs a little help, however, I must ask:
Where’s the editor?
I’m right here. Add a comment and include the URL of your story (or if it’s published and you don’t know how its URL, include the title so I can find it). I’ll quit scratching and copyedit your story for free, and maybe throw in a little line editing, too.
