Why Do Biden and the Democrats Have Such a Low Approval Rating?

I just don’t get it!

Joe Biden ran for President of the United States with a “Build Back Better Plan” to:

• Subsidize costs for child care, housing and health care, lower prescription drug prices, and fund education.
• Cut taxes for people who work for a living and for families with children
• Create jobs in clean energy, train people to work at those jobs, and train the trainers (by investing in schools and teachers)

What’s not to like about this? The cost? But no. There’s a fourth bullet point to add to the previous list:

• Pay for it all by increasing taxes on people making more than $400,000 a year.

At least, that was the plan. It has not been put into effect for several reasons:

• Because Republicans in our government don’t care whether Americans can afford childcare, housing and health care but do care, a lot, about increasing the wealth of the already wealthy (read ‘filthy rich” here).
• Because Republicans at the state level have redrawn voting districts so as to increase votes for Republicans and decrease votes for Democrats.
• Because Republicans have garnered even more votes through propaganda on right-wing news…
