You make a good point: Murder IS scary. Allow me to also make a good point: Statistically speaking, right-to-life people are much more likely to want to send young men and women into war than is any other population. Young men and women die in war. So, it seems that for this population, the "murder" of an unliving, unthinking, unfeeling and not-yet-quite-human collection of cells is bad, but the murder of living, thinking, feeling and definitely human young men and women is good.
