You're right. I'm thinking now of North Korea, where I read somewhere years ago that people think they're doing better than in other parts of the world even though they're half starving--because that's what Dear Leader tells them. Maybe the MAGA hat wearers will wake up around Thanksgiving and feel bad about their decisions. One can hope.
